Terms of Use
Effective Date: April 11, 2026
Welcome to Snap2Deduct. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Snap2Deduct app, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using Snap2Deduct, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What Snap2Deduct Does
Snap2Deduct is a recordkeeping tool designed to help users document charitable donations by capturing or selecting photos of donated items, identifying and organizing donated items, generating estimated item values, saving donation sessions, and exporting donation summaries and PDF reports for personal recordkeeping.
2. Not Tax, Legal, Accounting, or Appraisal Advice
- Snap2Deduct is provided for informational and recordkeeping purposes only.
- Snap2Deduct does not provide tax, legal, accounting, financial, or appraisal advice.
- Any item descriptions, categorizations, or estimated values shown in the Service are estimates only and are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, accepted by any charity, or accepted by any tax authority.
- You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and confirming all information before relying on it for your records, tax filings, or any other purpose. You should consult a qualified tax, legal, or appraisal professional when appropriate.
3. User Responsibility
You are responsible for reviewing all detected items, quantities, categories, and estimated values, confirming that your exported records are accurate and complete, deciding whether and how to use any Snap2Deduct output for tax or recordkeeping purposes, and maintaining any additional documentation you may need for your own files.
You understand that charitable donation treatment can vary based on the item, condition, documentation, timing, and your individual circumstances.
4. No Guarantee of Results
Snap2Deduct does not guarantee that item detection will be correct, estimated values will reflect actual fair market value, generated records will satisfy any legal, tax, audit, charity, or documentation requirement, or the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
5. Acceptable Use
- You may use the Service only in compliance with applicable law.
- You agree not to use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or misleading purposes, submit content that you do not have the right to use, attempt to interfere with or misuse the Service, or use the Service to create false or fabricated donation records.
6. Your Content
- You may provide photos, item details, edits, donation notes, organization names, and other content through the Service ("User Content").
- You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant Snap2Deduct a limited right to use, process, store, and display that content only as needed to operate the Service and its features.
- You are responsible for the content you submit and for making sure it does not violate any law or the rights of others.
7. Third-Party Services
- Snap2Deduct may rely on third-party providers to support features such as image analysis, hosting, storage, analytics, or app functionality.
- Snap2Deduct is not responsible for third-party services or outages, errors, or data handling practices outside of Snap2Deduct's control.
